The Doors, founded in 1965 in Los Angeles. The band is very controversial in its time because the lyrics are cryptic, sometimes considered very vulgar. Manzarek was impressed with Morrison-made poem entitled "Moonlight Drive". then formed The Doors with Ray Manzarek keyboard-formation, vocalist, Jim Morrison, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger-. The band's name is taken from a book by Aldous Huxley, "The Doors of Perception"
